I am a fan of Rosamunde Pilcher and had just completed a trip to Scotland when I discovered Winter Solstice (bulk of the story takes place in the far Highlands, above Inverness). The book combines the usual threads of an R Pilcher novel - very true, believable people falling in to events that could happen. Winter Solstice. Having read everything Rosamund Pilcher wrote, and then her son, Robin's, books, I eagerly looked forward to hearing an audio book of "Winter Solstice". It is my favorite of her books, and have read and re-read it many times over the years.
